Mission, vision and values

To continue driving forward our goal of making cycling a real option for transportation, recreation and tourism throughout Quebec, we have given ourselves clear guidelines for our fields of action in our 2023-2026 strategic plan, and updated our values and mission.

Committed to continuing the effort to make cycling an option for everyone, everywhere in Quebec, this strategic vision enables us to move forward through the organization’s various projects, programs, events and expertise with a shared vision, and clear objectives to maximize the impact of our actions.

Social and environmental responsibility

We aim to have a positive impact on communities and the environment. This value is at the heart of everything we do.

Initiative

We welcome new ideas and encourage our team members to come up with their own.

What is cycling culture?

The aim of cycling culture is to make cycling natural, easy and attractive, whether for daily commuting or simply for the pleasure of riding. Cycling culture is developed not only through safe physical facilities, but also through a range of more social education and encouragement initiatives aimed at the general public. These efforts are planned and their effects measured from an equity perspective, to ensure that everyone benefits, whatever their age, gender, physical fitness, place of living, studying or working, or financial means.

An environment with a well-developed cycling culture is one where cycling becomes a social norm and a credible alternative to the car. Its collective and individual benefits are numerous: the physical and mental well-being of individuals; safe, accessible and efficient mobility; positive economic impact for cyclists and the community; reduced impact on the environment; creation of inclusive and compact living environments.
