First event of the season, the Metropolitan Challenge is for biking enthusiasts who, depending on their fitness and mood, can either take it easy or go all out on an untimed route of 60 to 163 kilometers. Each year, the event takes place in a different area of Greater Montréal.

Vélo Québec’s Défi métropolitain returns in 2025 with an edition full of energy and discovery! Whether you’re a seasoned cyclist or a lover of good rides, it’s the perfect way to kick off the season. Several routes, adapted to all levels, will let you explore the magnificent landscapes of the Montreal metropolitan region.

Registration is now open at the BEST RATE OF THE YEAR – don’t delay in reserving your place! Join us for a memorable day of fun and challenge on two wheels.
